In the first place, we observe the inconveniences of the barter and how an intermediary (money) is needed to facilitate exchanges.
Money’s role is also to be an unit of account and depositary shares. The diagrams show the evolution of the concept of money, from the barter to electronic money. Money is no more than an intermediary accepted because of its characteristics as a payment method.
